Putting down the cookies for vacation

Somehow life always throws us a curve ball riiiiiiiight before our vacations to the Adirondacks. Maybe it’s because it knows the mountains and lakes can soothe our weary souls.

Anyway, in roundabout 24 hours or so, we’ll be heading out to a cabin we’re renting on Silver Lake, right next to Cranberry Lake. I’m somehwat familiar with the area, since when I was 17 I did a biological field study at SUNY ESF’s Cranberry Lake field station. Good times.

Ray and I are both REALLY looking forward to this, and it’ll be a nice reward following my butt-kicking cookie bake sale for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer (more on the results once I’m back).
